Welcome to the Lower Trent Trail

Trail... Discover the charm of the Quinte West region by exploring the Lower Trent Trail running from Trenton to Glen Ross!    This 17 km trail runs through both city and country-side and because motorized vehicles are banned from the trail, it's perfect for walkers, hikers, and cyclists. In the winter it's great for skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts!   The majority of the trail has now been developed and we anticipate that the remainder of the trail will be completed by the end of 2011.

Merry Christmas from The Friends of the TrailThe Friends of the Trail Inc. Wish you and your loved ones a very special Christmas Season and all the best for 2012.

Walk the trail this Christmas, the weather is delightful!

what is Station Park?

Station Park

The central staging area for the Lower Trent Trail!
The original Frankford railway station on the former Canadian National Railway line was located at the corner of Wellington and Mill Streets.
After the Station building was sold and relocated, this plot of land languished abandoned for many years, neither developed nor maintained by the various Government of Ontario ministries which controlled it.
The property is now part of the lease granted to FOTT Inc. to develop and manage the rail bed as a four season, non-motorized recreational trail.
